Who Needs an Evaluation?

Candidates for testing usually fall into one of three major categories based on their symptoms or medical history:

1. Individuals with Noticed Changes

  • Memory & Thinking: Those experiencing persistent forgetfulness, confusion, or getting lost in familiar places.

  • Executive Function: People struggling to stay organized, finish tasks, or make sound decisions.

  • Language & Communication: Anyone having sudden or progressive trouble finding words or understanding conversation.

  • Personality & Mood: Individuals showing unexplained shifts in temperament, increased irritability, or “flat” emotions.

2. People with Known Medical Conditions

  • Neurological Diseases: Patients with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), or Epilepsy.

  • Brain Injuries: Those who have suffered a stroke, concussion, or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).

  • Medical Treatments: People undergoing chemotherapy (“chemo-brain”) or those preparing for brain surgery.

3. Children and Students

  • Developmental Concerns: Children hitting milestones late or showing signs of Autism or ADHD.

  • Learning Struggles: Students who have significant difficulty with reading, writing, or math despite effort.
